A virtual program “Empowered Wanita 2021: Women in leadership: Achieving future equality in a COVID-19 world” was organized by Bangladesh-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BMCCI) on 8th March 2021.
Her Excellency Haznah Md Hashim, High Commissioner of Malaysia to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh attended the program along with other Malaysian High Commission officers. The program was presided by Director of BMCCI Farzana Chowdhury. The participants discussed about women empowerment, leadership, their impact on managing the Covid-19 Situation. President of BMCCI, Raquib Mohammad Fakhrul (Rocky) congratulated for the celebration of Women’s day all Female leaders and entrepreneurs for their continuous contributions and winning against all odds everyday with own strength, confidence and power. High Commissioner of Malaysia Her Excellency Haznah Md Hashim congratulated Honorable Prime Minister on behalf of High Commission of Malaysia in Dhaka for showing the Extra ordinary leadership that She showed in the pandemic situation. She also mentioned that women empowerment is a part of Malaysian norms and traditions that she feels proud of.
Director Farzana Chowdhury conluded the event with saying that when women are living safe, fulfilled and productive lived, they can reach their full potential, contributing their skills. They can also be able to help fuel sustainable economy, benefit society and humanity at large.
