From the Desk of President

Happy 100th birthday of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman!

As the entire nation observed and celebrated the centennial birthday of the Father of our Nation, I hope that everyone at our chamber had an opportunity to reflect on the life and impact of Sheikh Mujib. We continue to grow and liberate our economy through trade, commerce, industries and investments as a result of his vision and dedication.

The last three months has proved to be interesting challenge for me. As we move forward, I cannot help ponder the amazing strides this new administration has accomplished building off of the achievements of the previous administration. So, thank you dear members for your continual support and belief. Promoting bi-lateral trade, commerce, industry and investment between the Bangladesh and Malaysia both in private and public sectors while fostering friendship and cooperation is a possibility only because of our mutual shared vision of a greater global economy.

However, being a part of global economy is also a shared responsibility. Bi-lateral trade between Bangladesh and Malaysia are integrated across multiple sectors and value chains. As the world economy combats the global pandemic of COVID-19, I urge all our members to brace through the hurdle and support each other and rise beyond the geopolitics of coronavirus to restore confidence and aid the economic recovery through co-operation between the two countries as virus outbreaks ease through. Afterall, the bond between Malaysia and Bangladesh goes beyond the economy and coalesce at socio-cultural and individual level.
